Floral (and Pollinator) Notes
I love photographing flowers up close, especially when a pollinator is paying a visit to an enticing bloom!
Gardens and their plants and flowers are truly a work of art.
The flowers in this collage are (from left to right, top to bottom): Poppy (Papaver somniferum), Cosmos 'Purity' visited by two hoverflies, Dahlia 'Lou Farman' (also bottom left corner), poppy seed head (Papaver somniferum), Dahlia 'White Onesta' visited by a Face Fly (Musca autumnalis), Honey Bee (Apis mellifera) on Everlasting Pea (Lathyrus latifolius), Rudbeckia 'Prairie Sun', Love-in-a-mist (Nigella damascena) visited by a hoverfly, Zinnia, Echinops flower in bud with ladybird and finally, Dahlia 'Perch Hill'.
